The sellers of this winning 4,000-square-foot, 48th floor Trump Tower condo had a solid, upgraded product in the unit’s previous life. Nice as those finishes were, they had all the daring of a West Elm catalogue and would never have commanded a $4M+ price. Thus, the unit was yanked from the market in September 2011, at a $3M ask, and respected designer John Robert Wiltgenloosed upon it. The aftermath sees the huge home enlivened by bursts of color, mod furniture, funky lighting, three custom fireplaces, marble floors, and cushioned bedroom walls. The well-appointed kitchen is the only space not tampered with to a great degree. With a new starting ask of $4.2M and $2,600/month in dues, we’re surprised to see parking listed as an extra expense. Oh well, big spenders don’t impress The Donald.
