A couple transitioning from a Michigan Avenue penthouse to the suburbs with their growing family, invited their designer to go house shopping. They drew upon their history with John Robert Wiltgen Design, who created two other homes for them. An unfinished spec house with an adjoining lot were chosen. Wiltgen's creativity and vision enabled the couple to see the potential of the partially unfinished 6,500 square foot house, which expanded to 12,000 square feet. JRWD created both exterior and interior redesigns, as well as supervised the construction and completion of the interior. This was accomplished with a cohesive plan that integrated some of the client’s existing pieces, along with many new furnishings. | |
