A couple selected John Robert Wiltgen Design because of the firms extensive working knowledge of Metropolitan Place. JRWD reviewed architectural layouts for the entire building, created and installed three model apartments, and designed the lobby and common areas of Metropolitan Place. The clients exceptional collection of contemporary art drove all decisions, keeping furnishings minimal so they wouldnt appear more important. The designers modified the proposed layout, creating a gourmet kitchen from a guest bedroom, changing a bathroom to a dramatic powder room, making a real dining room out of the original kitchen location, and creating a master bedroom suite with signature his and hers bathrooms and a large dressing room. John Robert Wiltgen Design was the general contractor for this home and provided all of the furniture. The artwork belonged to their clients and a sophisticated lighting system was designed and installed to illuminate the collection. | |
