| A discriminating Chicago developer commissioned John Robert Wiltgen Design to create the space plan and execute the architectural detailing of a large, 8,000 square foot luxury residence in the heart of the city. The Wiltgen design team was the obvious choice since they had previously worked on many of the client's developments as well as two of the developer's stunning homes. Involvement in this project from its inception allowed JRWD to fully customize the home while acting as the general contractor of the interior finishes after the core and shell were built by another firm. The results far exceeded the client’s expectations: custom solid core walnut doors from Palermo; an inlaid marble floor from China in the foyer; a dramatic yet functional gourmet kitchen; a master bedroom with 15 foot ceilings, fireplace, and beautifully paneled built-in wall; seven and a half amazing bathrooms. Glamorous yet warm and inviting, flexible for the needs of a sociable couple that enjoy balancing entertaining with family time. |  |
