CHICAGO PLACE NEW CONSTRUCTIONJohn Robert Wiltgen Design conceived this extraordinary condominium at Chicago Place after investing time with his clients to formulate a clear picture of what they wanted. Their services on this project included space planning, interior architectural detailing, bidding and construction supervision, selection and installation of furniture, artwork and accessories. Innovative finishes were used throughout this remarkable residence reflecting the integration of art, architecture and design characteristic of JRWD. FoyerThis classically designed home features a spectacular floor that combines five different types of marble and granite. The stone is intentionally broken, then arranged to create a work of art, a JRWD signature. Elegant ribbon mahogany doors were used throughout. Dining RoomThe 22 by 16-foot dining room faces south capturing Chicago's dramatic skyline. Silver leaf dining chairs shimmer, illuminated by sophisticated fiber optic lighting concealed in the floating crown moldings. Living RoomDesigned to be lived in, this living room has different seating areas created to accommodate intimate gatherings, large parties or simply relaxing watching a movie. Home TheaterJRWD designed the ribbon mahogany wall unit that houses state of the art electronics and a 7-foot motorized television screen. The burled walnut and ebonized cocktail table conceals the TV projector, which is operated with a remote controlled hydraulic lift. Home Theater w/ScreenAt the touch of a button, the TV screen descends, black out shades close, and the Dolby surround sound system comes alive. LibraryThe library features ribbon mahogany paneling with an integral wall unit that hides lateral files, fax machine and computer, while providing storage for books and memorabilia. Master SuiteThe large master bedroom suite includes an oversized bathroom for her, a bathroom for him and individual walk in closets. |
